Enjoy breathtaking views when you stay at Chalet Alpayak - a stunning contemporary three-storey property in the heart of the pretty village of Combloux.
Combloux is part of the Evasion Mont Blanc skiing area, and while you can enjoy great skiing nearby, it's just 6km to Megève if you want to explore further afield. It's also a 30-min drive to the areas of Chamonix, Les Contamines, Les Houches and Espace Diamant (Praz-sur Arly). In the summer there are plenty of walks and cycle trails, as well as more adventurous pursuits such as via ferrata or paragliding.
The chalet is a mere 10-min walk to Combloux's wonderful swimming lake, where you can take a dip in this chemical-free pool, surrounded by incredible views of the Mont Blanc.
Combloux, nicknamed the pearl of Mont Blanc, has a small supermarket, butcher, baker, pharmacy, bars and restaurants, and there are more facilities in nearby Sallanches, Megève and St Gervais. A lot of the surrounding villages have good markets, where you can buy fresh produce and local specialities.

Chalet Alpayak is the perfect destination for a family mountain retreat close to Mont-Blanc. Up to eight guests can enjoy its soothing atmosphere and the surrounding mountain views.
As soon as you step inside, you'll discover a convenient ski room in the garage. This is the perfect place to store your outdoor gear after a long day in the mountains.
There are two comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor, as well as a bathroom with a bath and a separate WC, ensuring everyone in your group has the space they need to get ready for the next day.
On the first floor, you will find another double room with a TV. This bedroom also has access to a balcony, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air and take in the stunning views - what a way to wake up! There's another bathroom on this floor with a shower and an independent WC.
The living area is an open and welcoming space with plenty of seating. This is the perfect place to gather with friends and family and relax in front of the fireplace.
In the same space you'll find a lovely dining area that features a large dining table and comfortable chairs, and a kitchen that is compact but well-equipped, with everything you'll need to cook wonderful meals for the whole group (including a dishwasher). This area is flooded with natural light, creating a bright and warm atmosphere for memorable meals together.
The second floor is the mezzanine level - with a bedroom with two single beds, a play area, and a desk, it's a great place for children.
You can relax in the hot tub while enjoying the breathtaking view of Mont Blanc.

About the area...
Chalet Alpayak is in a great location for those who love mountain sports, whatever their level - Combloux, along with Megève, and Saint-Gervais, is part of the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area, and it's just a 20-minute drive to the Espace Diamant, which comprises Praz-sur-Arly, Bellecombe, Crest-Volant, Flumet, and Saisies. This area played host to the winter Olympics in 1992.
Experienced skiers looking for some stunning night skiing should head for the Vallée Blanche - do hire a guide for this 23km run which, with a 2,000m drop, will take you from the Aiguille du Midi to the Mer de Glace, an almost surreal experience under a full moon.
For a change from skiing, why not try dog-sledding or snow-shoe walking, which are both available within a short drive of Chalet Alpayak. For a little more adventure, why not try ice climbing, via ferrata or paragliding!
In the summer, the mountains become the domain of walkers and cyclists. There's so much to see in this varied landscape, explore the Argentière glacier or perhaps the Baroque footpath, a 20km trail from Combloux to Les Contamines-Montjoie which takes you past some of the area's finest baroque buildings. Look out for marmots along the way!
Fancy a swim? Head for the man-made ecological lake at Combloux (open June to September), just 1km away where you can relax in the pure waters fed by mountain streams surrounded by wildflowers and stunning views of Mont Blanc. Take a picnic and relax while the kids enjoy the great play area. There's also a restaurant.
Golfers can take advantage of the great courses at Chamonix and Megève and the golf of Mont d’Arbois is only 8,5 km away from the chalet.

Chalet Alpayak is a three-storey, contemporary chalet for eight guests, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Situated close to the centre of Combloux, it's in a great location - the pistes are just 3km away, the ski bus stops 500m from the chalet and it's just 6km to the busy resort of Megeve. You'll be surrounded by fabulous views of the Mont Blanc mountains, and in summer, there's a huge choice of walking and cycling trails.
Summer guests will also be able to walk to Combloux's wonderful chemical-free swimming lake - this ecological pool at the foot of Mont Blanc has swimming lanes, a grassy beach area and a paddling pool for children.
Take a picnic and make a day of it!
The chalet itself is bright and airy, with plenty of windows that flood the open-plan living area with light. The bedrooms are spacious and although there are only two bathrooms, the WCs are separate.
Children will love the mezzanine floor, which has a twin bedroom as well as a room with a desk, sofa and play area - their own little hideaway! Older children (and perhaps their parents) will appreciate the PS5 games console provided in the living area!
This is a great, practical chalet for two families, or perhaps an extended family group, who want to explore the Mont Blanc area but appreciate having the village facilities near at hand.

Welcome to Chalet Alpayak! We are pleased to welcome you to our family chalet, a place where we can enjoy the beauty of our natural environment all year round.
From the proximity of the ski slopes in the winter to the biotope lake in the summer, our chalet will allow you to relax while enjoying an authentic Alpine village active all year round.
As Victor Hugo said, Combloux, "the pearl of the Alps", offers a unique 360° panoramic view of the mountain ranges!
This little " paradise " on a plot of land bordered by a stream was chosen as the natural setting for a property designed to bring nature into the living spaces: the large vertical openings in the front overlook the Mont Blanc massif and the more intimate windows at the back of the chalet allow you to contemplate the Aravis massif.
You can experience the natural light reflecting on the white snow, the grey rocks or the green vegetation from dawn until the golden hour.
